ABOUT US
My name is Alex and I run the store based in Nottinghamshire, England. Most of my items are vintage from the 1950s through to the 1990s and made in England, although I occasionally find pieces from neighbouring countries as well.

Everything in the store is upcycled from items I source myself in charity shops, car boot sales, and antiques markets. I am passionate about sustainability and recycling, and I also love having a good dig through a charity shop. I noticed from volunteering in charity shops that many beautiful vintage items were going to waste - there is simply too much stuff in the world, and buying habits have changed. Many shoppers value function over form, so I thought why not have both! I wanted to give these beautiful objects a new purpose, and so Rekindle was born.

I've always had a passion for making things and I hope my candles and other creations bring you as much joy as they bring me. I only make things that I would personally use, and every object is made with love and care.

All my materials are sourced from UK-based suppliers. I buy as locally as possible to reduce my carbon footprint.

SHIPPING
In the UK I use Evri and Royal Mail for shipping. Internationally I use Royal Mail.

The shipping costs are estimated. I never overcharge for shipping and I will refund any excess to you after I have sent the parcel. If you live outside the UK and would like an exact quote for shipping, please contact me about the individual item.

If you find more than one item you can't live without, please contact me as I can combine shipping and make a special listing for you!

UK BUYERS
I try to package my items as safely as possible but I know accidents do happen. Please contact me if an item arrived damaged or not as listed.

If you select standard delivery and your order arrives damaged I cannot offer you a refund, you are accepting that the item may arrive damaged. If you select protected delivery I will refund you the entire cost of the item and shipping. I will ask for photos of the damage.

If you live locally in Nottinghamshire please message me before buying. I can offer a free postage code if you can collect locally!

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS
Due to the hazards of international shipping I am unable to offer refunds for items damaged or lost in transit when shipping internationally. As a small business I make every effort to package every item securely so that it arrives safely, but I cannot control what happens to it in transit. When you make an order to be shipped outside the UK you are accepting the risk that it may arrive damaged.

RETURNS
I can only accept returns if the candle is unlit and still as sold. I cannot accept a return after you have lit a candle.

If an item arrives damaged or not as advertised please contact me as soon as possible, I will do my best to resolve any issues for you!

If you simply change your mind I will refund you the cost of the item, but not the cost of shipping. You will need to cover return shipping and I will only issue a full refund after I receive the item in its original condition. I cannot refund items damaged by postal services - you will need to contact the courier for compensation.

SAFETY INFO
All my candles are CLP compliant. I can provide further information, including MSDS for all my scents, upon request. Please read the labels carefully to check for allergens. Rekindle Vintage is not liable for allergic reactions to any candle ingredients. Please also be aware that some essential oils and scents are toxic to pets - contact your veterinarian if you are concerned.

As with any candle, please be careful when lighting and burning my candles. Keep them on a flat, stable surface well away from any flammable objects. Don't allow any pets or children to come near them and keep them well away from houseplants, curtains, or anything else that may catch fire. The heat can reach farther than you may think! Always be sure the flame is extinguished completely when you're finished burning them and never leave a burning candle unattended.

Be aware that the containers may get hot and you may need to be careful when handling them. Be aware that overheated containers or dripping wax can stain furniture. Avoid placing the candles near radiators or heaters as this will liquify the wax and affect burn time.
